The ECL children's program follows the UC Davis academic year calendar.
Children's classes begin on the third day of instruction of each quarter and end on the last day of instruction. All University holidays are observed. The ECL program does not operate during the summer term.
All children attend one of the following classes Monday through Thursday (closed Fridays):
- Toddler Development - 2 classrooms 8:45 - 11:45am
- Morning Preschool - 2 classrooms 8:30 - 11:30am
- Afternoon Preschool - 2 classrooms 12:45 - 3:45pm
All toddlers attend morning sessions,
and preschool children are placed in classes based on age.
Because the ECL program is designed for the education of UC Davis students, as well as children, we ask parents to plan for their child to attend every day of the session (illness excepted). Each UC Davis student enrolled here is assigned to work with a specific small group of children. Whenever children are absent, the student's educational program is disrupted.
