WJUSD Special Education

Our special education program supports excellence in achievement by providing specially designed instruction and related services to students with disabilities as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Students are provided services as delineated on their Individualized Education Programs (IEP)

Woodland Joint USD participates with other districts in our county in the Yolo County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) in order to insure that a full continuum of services is available to meet the needs of our students in the least restrictive environment.

Early Years

Supporting children's primary relationships as they move along their developmental paths, over behavioral obstacles, and into cooperation, confidence and emotional resilience.

  • Individualized coaching using current research-based techniques and time-tested problem-solving strategies.
  • Small-group workshops with other parents.
  • Support during developmental assessment, medical and counseling services.
  • Support through the foster care and adoption processes.

Davis Developmental Pediatrics Group

Davis Developmental Pediatrics Group is a family-centered, child-friendly clinic providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of developmental and behavioral challenges experienced by infants, children and adolescents.

Davis Community Clinic

Davis Community Clinic is run by a private, nonprofit agency that provides primary health care to low-income, uninsured and Medi-Cal residents of the Yolo region. The majority of doctors, dentists, translators, lab assistants and patient assistants are volunteers.

Yolo County Health and Human Services

The Yolo County Health Department provides public health services, including environmental health services to all county residents, and indigent and correctional medical care to eligible persons.

The Yolo County Department of Employment and Social Services provides income support, food stamps and other aid to eligible low-income individuals and families; employment and training services to increase workforce participation and decrease dependency; and protective and supportive services for both children and vulnerable adults.
