Family Education Program
The Early Childhood Lab School offers ongoing enrichment and entertainment opportunities to all families with young children living in Davis and the surrounding communities. Family Programs include education and community building for parents and caregivers, along with opportunities for learning and developing through play for babies, toddlers and two-year olds.
Parents/caregivers attend playgroups with their children. Hands-on coaching and parenting consultations are built into the program to ensure that parents and caregivers have access to information and opportunities for reflection that help them feel prepared for the inevitable challenges we all face during the early childhood years.
The ECLS family education classroom is located in Eichhorn Family House (152 Old Davis Road), which is nestled between the Early Childhood Lab School's main site and the arboretum path.

Fall 2025 Growing Together Playgroup Schedule
Tuesdays: October 7-December 9, 2025 for children ages 6-18 months. These children are beginning crawlers and walkers, exploring the world with all of their senses.
Wednesdays: October 8-December 10, 2025 for children ages 6 months-3 years. This mixed age group is great for families with multiple children, as well as those who want to learn to navigate social spaces that include a wider range of development, such as playgrounds, libraries, or other public spaces.
Thursdays: October 9-December 11, 2025 for children ages 18-36 months. Children in this playgroup learn how to take turns with support, and utilize other strategies for negotiating with one another in a space with shared toys and materials.
