Meet Our Dedicated Team

At the Early Childhood Lab School (ECLS), our staff is the foundation of everything we do. We are committed to creating and maintaining an organizational climate that fosters trust, collaboration, and inclusion—a space where both children and adults feel respected, valued, and supported.

Our team of early childhood professionals upholds core values of teamwork, reflective practice, and continuous professional development. These values, along with a positive and respectful work environment and high educational standards, help us attract and retain a consistently qualified and well-trained staff. Our commitment to excellence helps reduce staff turnover and ensures that children receive consistent, high-quality care from professionals they know and trust.

As a university-based lab school, we also play a key role in preparing future leaders in the field of early childhood education. Many of our educators are undergraduate students, interns, or early-career professionals who will go on to make meaningful contributions in policy, research, and practice. We are proud to support their growth and development through hands-on training in a dynamic, real-world environment.

At all times—whether engaging with children, families, students, or guests—our staff members act with professionalism, respect, and adaptability. They are prepared to meet the diverse needs of a vibrant early learning community and to respond thoughtfully to the unique challenges of a university lab setting.

All staff are introduced to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment during their orientation and are expected to integrate its principles into their daily work. The Code is not just a formality—it is a living part of our practice, revisited regularly during staff meetings, applied to real-world situations, and reflected in the decisions we make every day.

We invite you to get to know our team—a group of compassionate, skilled professionals dedicated to the care and education of young children and the advancement of the field.
